With temperatures on the rise, experts are warning against the dangers of hot cars.

Doctors say that when it's just 70 degrees outside, the temperature in the car can go up to 120 degrees, which is why parents should not leave their children in there for even a short amount of time in the summer.

The nonprofit Kids And Cars says 44 children in the U.S. died from sitting in a hot car last year.

To prevent this kind of tragedy, experts suggest putting a simple note on the dashboard or leaving a personal item by the car seat so as to not forget that a child is in the car.

They also say you should call 911 if you ever see a child in a car alone on a hot summer day.
