It’s been five years since Milton Maldonado was run down and left to die on Church Street in Central Islip – and family members are calling for help finding the killer.
Maldonado’s sister Kenia Cruz, of Bay Shore, spoke with News 12 about her loss and pursuit of justice.
“Still to this day, we have no answers,” she said. “That person is still out like nothing happened.”
Cruz said she will always remind the driver of what they did.
“You killed somebody, you know what you did…That's murder. He or she should pay for what they did,” said Cruz.
Police say reviewed video footage of the area did not show the hit-and-run. Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
