Family of man who plunged from Tappan Zee Bridge calls for investigation
The family of Dominick Bifolco is calling for a full investigation into the 26-year-old?s death. Bifolco plunged off the Tappan Zee Bridge early Friday morning under a bizarre set of circumstances and his body washed ashore near Irvington Sunday. Police say the man jumped to his death, however, his family says it was an accident. According to investigators on the scene, Bifolco told them he felt nauseas then walked over to the railing and jumped off. Bifolco?s stepfather believes he fell off the bridge and the police didn't do their job to prevent the accident. He also says Bifolco was drinking at a house party before the accident. His family says that fact and the injuries he got during the accident may have contributed to his falling over. State police say autopsy results will determine whether or not Bifolco had drugs or alcohol in his system. In the meantime, his family is planning the funeral.
