Family seeks answers after accident victim dies
The victim of a two-car accident was taken off life support Wednesday, but his family isn?t convinced it was the accident that killed him.
Felipe Rosas, a 34-year-old immigrant from Mexico, was declared brain dead after a head-on collision with another car on Route 304 last Wednesday. The driver of the other car was not seriously hurt.
Rosas? family members aren?t convinced the impact of the accident was enough to kill the father of two from Haverstraw. Family members say there are claims that a third person was at the location and beat Rosas, causing his fatal injuries.
The truth could be revealed when the Rockland County Medical Examiner?s Office performs an autopsy. The medical examiner?s office has reached out to Clarkstown police to ask officers what they believe happened to Rosas during the accident.
