A local financial expert says he's not surprised Connecticut is out of the running to be home to a second Amazon headquarters.
Roy Abramowitz says, "The state's current economic crisis and unfriendly business environment made Connecticut an impossible choice."
"Amazon will not consider any Connecticut city for its new second headquarters,” says Abramowitz. “A major chance to bring jobs and stimulate the state's economy was foregone. Increasing taxes, increasing commuter costs and decreasing services is not the answer. Amazon noticed and we lost.  Wake up, Hartford."
Amazon announced Thursday its 20 finalists.
The company narrowed the list down from 238 proposals across North America.
Gov. Dannel Malloy said the feedback was "positive," but Connecticut "did not have a large enough metropolitan area for this particular proposal."
