Winds helped fan a fire that completely destroyed a home in Pomona Wednesday.

Jean-Michelet Moise went to his house on Old Route 202 and saw what he thought was a brush fire in the back yard. Moise said the flames spread quickly and soon his entire house was on fire. Firefighters believe the fire probably started in the house, perhaps in the basement. The flames caused the attic to collapse.

No one was hurt in the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
