A fire erupted at a popular diner in Rockland County Wednesday.
Fire officials say the flames ignited outside the Mount Ivy Diner in Pomona just before 10 p.m.
Around 20 people were inside eating when the fire broke out, according to the diner's owner.
On Wednesday, many regular patrons showed up only to be turned away. The owner says he hopes to reopen his diner by Friday.
The owner says the fire occurred just one day before his 23-year anniversary in business.
County fire officials say the fire is not suspicious, and most likely started in the exterior lighting.
No one was injured as a result of the fire
