Fire leaves Newburgh family homeless
An early morning fire destroyed a house in Newburgh, leaving a family of five without a home.
Marlo McDonald, her two kids, her brother and cousin just opened Christmas presents two days ago and now those gifts are gone. McDonald says she first saw smoke and then looked to see flames coming up the side of the Powell Avenue home.
McDonald says she was planning on buying a new car Thursday, but all the money was destroyed by the fire.
