A fast moving fire burned a two-family house to the ground Monday afternoon in Spring Valley Fire officials say the fire started in the kitchen of the house located at 14 Youmans Drive in Spring Valley. Officials say one woman was home at the time and she escaped by running onto the back deck. She apparently left the door open, which allowed in more air to feed the flames. The fire spread quickly and officials say it didn?t take long for the house to be gutted. A few firefighters were treated at the scene for heat exhaustion. The thirteen residents of the house will have to find a new place to live. Officials say the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
