First lady brings fight against childhood obesity to HV
First Lady Michelle Obama continued her campaign against childhood obesity at the Stone Hill Center in Pocantico Hills this afternoon with the spouses of various world leaders, in town for the U.N. General Assembly, and some very excited local students.
The first lady gathered with students from the JFK Magnet School in Port Chester to tour the farm at the Stone Barns Center, which provides farm-to-table meals and educates patrons on the farming process.
Students got the chance to learn about harvesting their own vegetables and the process that goes into collecting eggs.
The first lady has been an outspoken advocate for leading healthy lifestyles and eating homegrown vegetables, which she grows in her White House garden.
