The Fishkill Town Board voted Friday night to enact a zoning code that bans the temporary use of hotels to house migrants from New York City.

The resolution states that New York City has not provided additional funds to offset an expected rise in services such as emergency services and hospital facilities.

It also states that this new zoning code is meant to preserve the welfare of the town's residents.
