Police: 1 person dies in Greenburgh house fire

Police say the house at 260 South Healy Ave. was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived just after 10 a.m.

Greenburgh police confirm a resident of a house died in a morning fire on Wednesday.
Police say the house at 260 South Healy Ave. was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived just after 10 a.m.
The body of the resident was recovered a short time later.
Information about the deceased is not being released at this time.
Police say at least one other resident was able to escape the fire.
The cause remains under investigation, but it appears to have been accidental.
