NEW ROCHELLE - The Valentine’s Day snow buried florists with last-minute orders.

Sutton Florist’s Bobby Devivo says Valentine’s Day was even busier than usual as delivery trucks were largely sidelined by Thursday’s snowstorm.

It was “the absolute worst thing that could have happened for the flower business,” Devivo says.

Valentine’s Day is the Super Bowl of the floral industry. Devivo says it makes up for at least 30 percent of the year’s gross sales.
