CROTON-ON-HUDSON - A dazzling display of lights is amazing folks of all ages in the Hudson Valley this week.
Illuminated flora is part of a brand new art and light experience from the Historic Hudson Valley at the historic Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-Hudson. The experience called "Lightscapes" is described as a walk through a dreamland of sorts showcasing the intergalactic flora and woodland creatures that make up Mother Earth.
This is the first time the state-of-the-art illumination has been put on display. "The theme here is that it's a Spring time garden fantasy. It's a little bit of what you'd see in the garden, it's a little bit fantastical. You have what we call futuristic flora, which are unusual looking flowers and everything is made out of recycled and repurposed material," says Rob Schweitzer, of Historic Hudson Valley.
"Lightscapes" takes place on Fridays and Saturdays through the end of the month.
