Yonkers-based Sarah Lawrence College has topped Forbes Magazine's annual list of the most expensive schools in the U.S.
Education at Sarah Lawrence College, known for its unique and prestigious liberal arts program, comes with a price tag of more than $57,000 a year.
University officials told Forbes the college is costly because their students have twice the one-on-one time with faculty than students at other prestigious liberal arts schools.
While some students think the college is overpriced, other say the first-rate education is worth every penny.
Graduate student Matthew Klein says in order to afford the expensive tuition, he's culled together a combination of loans, work-study programs and scholarships.
