Four teens were arrested for painting graffiti all over a dock in Nyack Tuesday.
A South Nyack police officer was patrolling the area, saw four Spring Valley teens painting the launch and arrested them. Department of Public Works crews spent Tuesday hosing down the Nyack boat launch on Burd Street to remove the graffiti.
Police say this type of vandalism isn?t new in Nyack or Rockland County. They believe the recent arrests might be artistic expression and not gang-related. Recently, a 19-year-old Nanuet man admitted to police he has been marking up various locations throughout the county.
Anyone with information on graffiti or vandalism in the county should call a local police department or the general police hotline, 1-866-SAFE-NYS (7233-697).
