The friend of a missing nurse from the Bronx is hopeful she will uncover why her friend disappeared.
Tiani Morales set up a Facebook page seeking information about her missing co-worker and says she is working with her friend's family in Bangladesh.
Mahfuza Rahman first went missing a year ago after her co-workers at Belleview Hospital reported she had not showed up to work for several days.
Although police interviewed her husband, Mohammad Chowdhury, he fled the country shortly after being cleared from the investigation and is now wanted by the NYPD as a person of interest.
Police recently deemed the case a homicide even though Mahfuza's body has not been located.
Police say Rahman's husband purchased a camping ax one day after his wife's disappearance and took the couple's daughter back to Bangladesh.
Morales says she has learned through Mahfuza's family that Chowdhury has re-married and is living in the town of Comilla in Bangladesh.
Anyone with information about the disappearance of Mahfuza Rahman is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
