Stephanie Kavourias was remembered as a sister and aunt - and a community advocate killed by something she had been trying to fix for years.
A car hit and killed her this past weekend as she walked on East Hartsdale Avenue.
Police later arrested suspected drunk driver 42-year-old Antonio Robles Sanchez.
Kavourias' death has reignited concern over road safety in Greenburgh. A Greenburgh meeting Tuesday night turned chaotic as people and town leaders went back and forth over how to make changes.
On Wednesday, people tried to focus on Kavourias. They remembered her as former executive director of the Hartsdale Parking Authority, head of her co-op board and member of many other community organizations.
