Frigid temperatures force HV residents indoors
Hudson Valley residents bundled up Tuesday to brave the frigid temperatures and blustery winds.
Meteorologists say the temperatures felt like two degrees with the wind chill. The high winds downed power lines and trees throughout the area, knocking out power to more than 400 customers in Orange County alone.
Some residents who planned a skiing trip Tuesday say it was too cold to ski. Orange and Rockland Utilities restored power to nearly all customers and residents say they will try to stay indoors and keep warm.
