YONKERS - Family and friends said goodbye to the Suffern man allegedly strangled last week by his niece and her boyfriend.

Loved ones mourned the loss of William Valenti during his funeral at Sacred Heart Church. Police say the 70-year-old was murdered by Niki Hunt-Circelli and Gary Crockett before they took a fatal jump off of the George Washington Bridge.

The couple lived with Valenti and had allegedly withdrawn money from his bank account without permission, triggering the deadly confrontation. Friends describe Valenti as a loving person.

He will be laid to rest at Airmont Cemetery.
