Garza family says search will go on
The family of missing Brooklyn woman Laura Garza took their pleas for information about her whereabouts public again Wednesday.
The 25-year-old woman has been missing for almost three months. She was last seen with Orange County sex offender Michael Mele leaving a Manhattan nightclub. A $15,000 reward is being offered for information that helps the family find Garza.
Searches for Garza have recently been called off because of the inclement weather, but another one is planned for this weekend.
"We just can't go back to Texas with empty hands," says Nicolas Garza, Laura's brother.
The family is also looking for help to feed the almost 200 volunteers who are expected to turn out for the search Saturday.
No one has been charged in the woman's disappearance.
