YORKTOWN - Golf season has officially started in Westchester County.
The last of the three public golf courses in the county opened for business today.
The temperature was about 30 degrees on the first hole of the Mohansic Golf Course in Yorktown, but the cold weather didn't stop resident Frank Scappicci.
Scappicci was the only golfer who showed up as soon as the course opened for the first time this season. He says it's a day he's been dreaming about for months.
“It's been a long winter," he says. "We gotta start sometime. Opening day. I gotta be here."
