Hundreds of golfers hit the links Tuesday to raise money for kids in Westchester.
The annual “Golfing for Kids" fundraiser was held at the Hampshire Country Club in Mamaroneck.
ARC of Westchester hosted the charity tournament. The school specializes in educational services for children with autism and other developmental disabilities. "The strategies that we use in our programs that the professionals are trained to use help the children make gains, make progress - it’s really amazing how well they do," says Fran Porcaro, of ARC of Westchester.
Organizers say the event helps offset costs not covered by state education department funding.
