Nixon Bourguignon is accused of strangling Shannon Coleman their Rockland home last week.

GARNERVILLE - A grand jury in Rockland is hearing the case against a White Plains postal worker accused of strangling his girlfriend inside their home.

Police say Nixon Bourguignon murdered Shannon Coleman last week in the apartment they shared on Forest Drive in Garnerville.

The pair reportedly argued because Bourguignon found text messages from the father of one of Coleman's children. Coleman's two young sons were home at the time, but were unharmed. Bourguignon was arrested at the scene.

A funeral for Coleman is being held on Friday in Spring Valley. A scholarship fund is being set up for her two children.
