Cleanup crews were out in full force Thursday in Grandview after severe storm ripped through the town on its way to Westchester County where it was confirmed as a tornado.
The sound of chain saws filled the air as property owners cleaned up the mess left by powerful winds Wednesday. National Weather Service officials confirmed that an F1 and F2 tornado hit central Westchester Wednesday and they say it may have originated in Rockland. Fallen trees littered the streets in a small section of Grandview, which seemed to be the path of the powerful winds.
Electrical wires that were down have all been repaired and there are no power outages in Rockland.
