NEW ROcHELLE - Hundreds turned out for the "Guidance Center of Westchester's" Annual Gala last night at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle.

The gala is the non-profit group's largest fundraising event of the year and recognizes local honorees for their commitment to helping Westchester residents.

This year's recipients included Jay Kushner, an active supporter of the services provided by The Guidance Center. "I'm so honored. It's such a fabulous organization. They do so many amazing things for hundreds of people in our community," says Kushner.

Also honored was News 12 reporter Tara Rosenblum for her series "Hooked on Heroin." Her series explored the growing heroin epidemic in the Hudson Valley. "This story proved to us, and everyone, that people can be more than what happens to them in life and that people care."

The Guidance Center provides a variety of programs including career development and mental health services.
