Boutique Wines and Spirits in Fishkill has been chosen as one location for Virginia Tech's research into hard cider.

The research will look at consumer preferences and perceptions of hard cider, with hopes to better understand what people like. 

It will then be made available to other cideries across the country.

While only a handful of people will be test subjects for this blind study, the business owner says it sure is quite an honor.
