Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A deadly crash in Saugerties has led to an arrest. Officials say Daniel Kellogg was under the influence of alcohol and prescription drugs when he drove off the road striking a utility pole back in April. His passenger David Mattison, 29, of Kingston, was killed. Police arrested Kellogg for vehicular manslaughter after detectives found out he had plans to flee Ulster County.
An Orange County corrections officer suffered serious injuries after a motorcycle crash on I-84. Officials say that Officer David Snell, 62, of Warwick, was riding his motorcycle Saturday afternoon in Wawayanda when he collided with an SUV as he entered I-84. Snell is hospitalized in critical condition.
A string of anti-cop graffiti has been discovered across New City. Clarkstown Police say they responded to the graffiti on Sunday near North Main Street. When they arrived, they found anti-cop messages spray painted onto a box truck, an ATM, a traffic control box and realty signs. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Clarkstown Police Department at (845) 639-5800.
