Here are some of the stories making headlines in the Hudson Valley.
A dog was hit and killed by the driver of a truck in Ellenville. Police say the incident happened on Maple Avenue near Yankee Place last Friday morning. Police say the driver didn't stop and took off towards Route 209.
A 16-year-old has been arrested after shooting another teen in Newburgh, according to police. Officials say shots rang out near the basketball courts at the City of Newburgh recreation center about two weeks ago. Police say 19-year-old victim and multiple eyewitnesses refused to cooperate with detectives. The suspect is now charged with assault.
Two men have been arrested after a woman was robbed at gunpoint at the Modena Travel Plaza. Police say Adam Colandrea, 36, and Steven Wolfe, 24 are both facing robbery charges.  They are accused of pulling a gun on a 32-year-old woman, stealing her money, then hitting her with their car as they fled Saturday night. Police say they found the vehicle shortly after on Quaker Street,  where the men were arrested. A K-9 team recovered the gun that was thrown out of the window on Quaker street.
