Here are some local stories making headlines this Friday.
State police are investigating this morning after a pickup truck pulling a tractor-trailer rolled over on the Cross-Westchester Expressway and William L. Butcher Bridge in West Harrison. Video from the Citizen App shows the truck is on its side and the camper blocking all lanes of traffic. Minor injuries were reported.
The owner of a local animal rescue was arrested. Lisa Marie Birdsall allegedly spent $17,000 in donations and adoption fees on personal expenses. She is the owner of Recycled Paws Rescue in Lake Mohegan, a shelter News 12 reported on last week for allegedly fostering out sick puppies.
A Middletown teenager was arrested in connection with a shooting upstate. Officers say 18-year-old Robert Bentley fired into a home on New Street in Stottville last week. A 16-year-old is also facing charges. No one was hurt.
