An Orange County judge has agreed to dismiss a reckless driving ticket in connection to a deadly 2022 car crash. Prosecutors say they don't have enough evidence to prove that Chaim Gordon was speeding while traveling with a caravan of cars. They say he lost control on Route 6 killing another driver from Monticello in a head-on crash. Gordon still faces four other tickets. He's expected to take a plea deal carrying a $1,000 fine and up to 10 points on his license. The case has been adjourned until January.
A New Rochelle restaurant owner is now dealing with making repairs after a car crashed into his business. New Rochelle police say it happened Wednesday at 531 Main Street on the corner of Division. No one was injured. Police are working to determine what led to the incident.
The woman injured in a multi-car crash on I-84 in Montgomery earlier this week is in critical condition. A preliminary investigation revealed that a tractor-trailer struck the back of the car driven by Janet Colon of Monroe. Police say her car then hit into another tractor-trailer.
