Here are the stories making headlines today.
State police are asking for the public's help in finding the driver who struck a pedestrian in Fishkill. They say it happened Saturday on Merrit Boulevard near Vanderbilt Way.
Poughkeepsie police are investigating a shots fired incident that happened on Sunday. Shell casings were found in the area of the 400 block on Main Street. Police ask anyone with information to contact them.
A Yonkers man and an NYPD officer are facing federal drug trafficking charges. The U.S. Attorney's Office says Cesar Martinez and officer Grace Rose Baez have been charged with distribution and conspiracy to distribute narcotics. The two are accused of distributing heroin and fentanyl. Authorities say the two conducted at least some of their illegal activities from their shared Yonkers apartment. Some of the charges against Martinez and Baez carry maximum life sentences.
