A teen was seriously injured in a shooting in Poughkeepsie. Detectives say they responded to Smith Street on Friday and found a 15-year-old with a gunshot wound in the leg. The teenager was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover. Authorities say they also recovered a loaded handgun from the scene. A New Rochelle man is now facing charges for forcibly touching a woman, according to authorities. Police say Hussain Haider approached a woman wearing a traditional Muslim garment that covers the entire body. According to New Rochelle police, Haider took a picture under her garment and exposed himself before running away. Police say a child saw him do it, so Haider was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful surveillance.
Beacon police have arrested a man threatening to shoot people. Police say it happened yesterday on Main Street. After allegedly resisting arrest, the suspect was taken into custody. Police say they searched the area and did not find any firearms. Charges are pending as the investigation continues.
