Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
Three 15-year-olds are due in court today after New Rochelle police say they caught them driving a stolen car. Police say they tracked the stolen vehicle heading towards the Home Depot parking lot on Weyman Avenue. Officials say two boys ran out of the car and into the Home Depot and a girl stayed at the scene. They say the driver left the car in reverse and it backed into an unmarked police car. A detective suffered minor injuries. The group faces multiple charges including criminal possession of stolen property. The driver faces an additional assault charge.
A man is facing attempted murder charges for an alleged attack in the Village of Liberty. Police say Jesse Rubio stabbed a woman on North Main Street. News 12 is told the victim suffered multiple cuts and puncture wounds. Investigators say he stole the victim's phone to get rid of evidence before being arrested. Rubio is being held at Sullivan County Jail without bail.
An NYPD officer is facing charges for two counts of petit larceny for allegedly stealing from a Yonkers Shoprite. Yonkers Police say Aaron Cataquet of Cortlandt stole nearly $500 worth of food items from the Tuckahoe Road supermarket. Police say Cataquet also stole almost $700 worth of food items last month. He was identified by surveillance facial recognition.
