CHAPPAQUA - A forum was held Tuesday night in Chappaqua to educate and inform the public about the growing heroin problem in the Hudson Valley.

Dr. Andrew Kolodny, from the Phoenix House Foundation, told the packed house at the Chappaqua Library that the CDC has called the current heroin epidemic the worst in United States history. Last year, 75 people in the Hudson Valley died from heroin overdoses.

Adrian Marcus works at the Lexington Center for Recovery and says she's seen the number of addicts seeking treatment go up. Marcus says there's 2,000 people in the Hudson Valley currently trying to get clean in various facilities.

Also on the panel was News 12's Tara Rosenblum, who showed her special report "Hooked On Heroin."
