HASTINGS ON HUDSON - Students at one elementary school in Hastings on Hudson celebrated Chinese New Year by building their own Great Wall.

The kids at Hillside Elementary school helped ring in the Year of the Horse by stomping on bubble wrap to make firecracker noises and hanging Chinese lanterns. They also created a brick wall to symbolize the Great Wall of China.

After the celebration, the kids learned about Chinese culture.

One fun fact they discovered was that the celebration lasts 15 days in China.
