Gifts that were meant to go to a family in need were stolen right from under the organizer's nose in Bushwick.
The Muse, a circus school, left gifts on a table in hopes people walking in would see them and be encouraged to donate. But the display was swiped by a person who walked right out the door Sunday.
Organizers say it happened during one of The Muse's circus shows when they think no one was at their front desk.
The gifts were meant for a local family they had been connected with through their local police precinct.
They say the thief made off with about half of what they had collected, a loss of about $1,000.
The Muse is now in a rush the recover what they lost before delivery next week. Their gifts are now locked away.
