The owner of a now-bankrupt Rockland hotel who was accused of stealing more than $1 million is maintaining his innocence.
Investors allege Edgar Costa stole more than $1 million from the trendy Time Nyack Hotel by forging documents and hacking emails.
Costa says the accusations are false and blame the previous owners.
He says they were committing fraud and receiving private loans from investors.
A federal trustee is investigating the hotel’s finances.
