Overnight storms did not hit the Hudson Valley as hard as other regions in the tri-state area.
Gusty winds knocked down trees and power lines early Wednesday morning, while heavy rains flooded many areas of New Jersey and Long Island with up to 13 inches being reported. Rainfall in the Hudson Valley was closer to an inch of precipitation.
Still, there were downed trees that caused delays on the Saw Mill and Sprain Brook parkways. Crews worked quickly to remove the debris and Wednesday's morning commute did not suffer.
News 12 meteorologists say the worst of the storm has passed, and the skies should clear completely for a beautiful day on Thursday.
