Police charged a Rockland County man with attempted murder Friday for allegedly trying to kill his wife in a New Jersey parking lot.
Alan Pelcak, of Spring Valley, was arrested after being questioned in the vicious attack on Laura Matosek Sept. 18.
Authorities say Pelcak is accused of stabbing Matosek and running her over with his car in the parking lot of a Sheraton Hotel in Mahwah, New Jersey.
Pelcak is being charged with attempted murder, illegal possession of a weapon, stalking and possible child pornography.
Pelcak has been remanded to the Rockland County Jail. If he waives an extradition hearing, he could soon be transferred to Bergen County.
