Mike Safizadeh?s wife, Wafa, went to Amman, Jordan three weeks ago to visit her ailing mother. When she tried to return home, she was stopped at the airport because her student VISA had expired. Safizadeh says his wife was given permanent asylum in the U.S., but she hadn't received the paperwork yet. He says his wife should have received more help from the U.S. embassy in Jordan.
Now, Congresswoman Sue Kelly's (R-Katonah) office is working to get the paperwork pushed through quickly so Wafa Safizadeh can come home.
