HV residents offer to help owner of stolen hot dog truck
Dozens of kind-hearted Hudson Valley residents say they are willing to help the owner of a hot dog truck that was stolen get back to business.
Police say they are still searching for the thieves who stole the popular Fred's Famous Franks hot dog truck in Orangeburg on Sept. 30.
Joe Benedetto, of West Nyack, runs a hot dog concession stand out of his auto spa business. He is offering to let the truck's owner, Fred Martucci, work from there until he decides what to do.
Martucci says he's gotten close to a dozen calls from people who want to help, and he says he's blown away by the offers.
