Some Hudson Valley residents who were lucky enough to get a day off from school or work Wednesday headed out to a Warwick park to go sledding and build snowmen.
People like Carl Short, of Warwick, didn't want to miss the opportunity to sleigh down the gentle slopes in Deming Park or make a snow angel.
"You can't pick a better day...look at this weather here," Short says. "There is no where else to go but sledding, really."
