School budget votes are being held across the Hudson Valley today, and in East Ramapo, students came out to rally in favor of the budget passing.
The East Ramapo district is already facing major cuts, including numerous teacher layoffs, but if the budget fails, the cuts could get even worse.
In Haverstraw, voters are deciding whether to pass a budget that would increase their property taxes by 7.6 percent and lay off more than 100 positions across the district.
