The upcoming November election is poised to be a struggle for some incumbents if New Yorkers have their way.
A recent survey called Renew New York found 83 percent of voters were frustrated with state government. The survey was sponsored by Cablevision, the parent company of News 12. That survey, coupled with the sentiment of some politicians, shows incumbents are not going to have it easy.
Former New York City Mayor Ed Koch believes incumbents could be an endangered species. And Republican State Assemblyman Robert Castelli says there seems to be an anti-incumbent wave. Castelli, who was elected to the Assembly in a special election this year, says Albany is dysfunctional.
