The superstar from the Bronx will give back with a free concert at Orchard Beach tonight.

BRONX - Thousands are expected at Orchard Beach this evening to see superstar singer Jennifer Lopez.

J. Lo will perform a free concert in front of 25,000 fans. Lopez will not take the stage until 8:30 p.m., and her performance is expected to last 90 minutes.

The multitalented performer is confident everyone will have a great time. "It's going to be awesome. Coming back to the Bronx and doing a free concert for the neighborhood that raised me and that's what it's all about," says Lopez.

Traffic officials encouraged fans to leave their cars at home and take mass transit or special event buses to the concert. Signs have been posted on the Hutchinson River Parkway for the past week warning drivers from the Hudson Valley about concert-related traffic.

One lane of traffic on City Island Road is being used for non-concertgoers. Those heading to the Whitestone Bridge can take the Sprain Brook Parkway to the Cross Bronx Expressway. Commuters can also expect heavy traffic on the Pelham Parkway.
