Jury hears alleged murder confession in Lippe's retrial
Yesterday the jury heard a tape that was allegedly made by a friend of Werner Lippe, where prosecutors say he confesses to killing his wife, Faith Lippe, in 2008.
Lippe is accused of killing his wife by beating her to death and then burning her body in the backyard of their Cortlandt Manor home.
The original trial, in which the same tape was played, resulted in a hung jury.
The defense is expected to cross-examine Lippe's friend and attempt to show that Lippe was pressured to make a confession.
