There's a new way for kids to cool down in one area of Rockland County.
The Town of Stony Point officially opened the Splash Pad at Charles Eccher/Lowland Park.
Officials say the project cost about $200,000.
Just a few weeks ago, this entire park was flooded from the massive storm that hit the town.
"Less than two weeks ago, this was under 4 feet of water. This whole park. Through the storm and the flood. I have to thank our town employees, our department of highway. They worked nonstop to clean it up. To see the happiness on the children's faces, it just brings joy to everyone," says Stony Point Supervisor Jim Monaghan. The Splash Pad will be open to use for town residents from noon to 6 p.m.
