Juveniles face charges in Newburgh burglaries
Police in Newburgh made a break in the case of a string of burglaries with the arrest of four juveniles.
Police say the four kids arrested range in age from 9 to 13 years old. According to police, the kids were breaking into homes in the middle of the day through open windows. They stole jewelry, loose change and digital cameras ? anything, police say, they could fit in their pockets. Police caught up with three of the kids Thursday when they responded to a call of a burglary in progress and spotted them pushing a stolen go-cart.
The juveniles were brought in with their parents and they confessed to at least seven burglaries in the area. Police say more kids may be involved. The four apprehended will face a judge in family court.
