Lakeland schools to start hybrid plan a week earlier than planned

The Lakeland Central School District plans to begin its hybrid model one week from today, which is earlier than expected.
The district, which is now fully remote, originally planned to begin hybrid learning in October.
Lakeland Schools Superintendent Dr. Brendan Lyons says they are excited to make the change sooner than planned.
In a statement, he's now urging students and families to continue practicing social distancing and wear masks adding that "Maintaining a healthier community and keeping our local numbers low --will increase our schools' likelihood of remaining open."
